THE BASH BISH INN - In the Heart of the “Berkshires”

THE BASH BISH INN - In the Heart of the “Berkshires”Reprinted by the Roeliff Jansen Historical Society

In 1903, Margaret and Eugene Vacheron purchased buildings on property neighboring the Bash Bish Falls to create a posh country Inn. Carefully maintaining the previous owner’s original Swiss style architecture, they added an eight-room guest house, Children’s playhouse, and assorted cottages. Though the Vacheron’s enterprise ended by 1913, you can still visit the Bash Bish Inn through the illustrated pages of this charming little book vividly describing quaint accommodations, leisure activities, picturesque views and highly prized French cuisine.
